GIRL'S LACROSSE GENERAL INFORMATION
Panther Lacrosse is dedicated to the development of lacrosse in the South Metro area by providing girls the opportunity to learn and play the game in a fun and challenging atmosphere.   Panthers play in the Colorado Girls Lacrosse Association (CGLA).  Currently CGLA is still developing programs along the front range and within the league.

Grades 4th & 5th - The league has a 4th & 5th  grade division, or there can be a combined 4th/5th grade team.  Teams at these ages are strictly developmental and recreational.  Players are placed on teams according to address, school attended, and need for players on a team.  Teams will be kept together from year to year as much as possible.  Players will be taught in a constructive atmosphere.  Playing time will be equally divided, but attendance at practices and behavior can affect playing time.  Parents should expect their daughter will learn stick skills, learn the game as it should be played, and enjoy themselves.

Grade 6th, 7th, 8th  -  The CGLA has a 6th, 7th, 8th, & Novice  leagues.  Panthers have placed teams at each grade level.  However, due to the intense interest developing in girls lacrosse, a novice team of combined grades can be put together as needed.  Teams at these ages are developmental and recreational.  Teams that have been together longer may be more competitive. Players are placed on teams according to address, school attended, and need for players on a team.  Teams will be kept together from year to year as much as possible.  Players will be taught in a constructive atmosphere.  Playing time will be equally divided, but attendance at practices and behavior can affect playing time.  Parents should expect their daughter will learn stick skills, learn the game as it should be played, and enjoy themselves.  The 7th & 8th grade leagues also can be divided into beginner and advanced divisions.  Playing time in the advance division may be altered for competitive reasons.

GIRLS  UNIFORMS and EQUIPMENT
Stick, mouth guard, Game jersey, Game shorts, cleats, reversible practice jersey, and goggles.   Goalie equipment is provided by the Panthers.

Reversible practice jerseys are important for efficient practices so players can be divided for scrimmages and competitive drills.  Equipment can be gotten anywhere.  Uniforms and reversible jerseys can be gotten only at Breakaway Sports.

Panthers Apparel is available at Breakaway Sports Jackets, sweat shirts, hats, etc.
